ComAutoTrans 2025 set a high benchmark in the commercial transport industry with its new formats and unique test drives
ComAutoTrans, the premiere commercial vehicle exhibition in Russia, successfully debuted at Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow from August 19th to 22nd, offered exhibitors and visitors not only a static exposition but also a rare chance to observe original equipment — the only test drive in Russia.
Business representatives and individuals interested in contemporary trends in passenger and cargo freight came together for the event. Despite the challenging market conditions, exhibitors showcased innovative products and technological solutions, demonstrating a strong commitment to ongoing development and modernization.
“Thanks to the introduction of new formats, exhibitors were able to showcase their equipment not only in a static display but also through a dynamic test drive on the Crocus Expo outdoor grounds. Already in the first days of the exhibition, we received confirmations from several exhibitors regarding deliveries of their vehicles to customer fleets. Together with our participants, we successfully launched the premiere of ComAutoTrans, attracting the target audience to a new platform whose results provide an objective snapshot of the current market”, — stated ComAutoTrans director Ekaterina Martynova.

Minsk automotive plant has for the first time showcased the KUPAVA 673100 insulated van, designed explicitly for the Rulog company, which owns the Vkusno-i Tochka chain. The exhibitor’s stand also featured a MAZ-64102L truck tractor with a 6x2 wheel configuration, a MAZ-65262L dump truck with an 8x8 configuration, and the third-generation MAZ 351 two-axle tourist bus.
The Russian representative office of the international concern Sinotruk, “Sinotrak Rus” company, together with the distributor “Remex Truck”, presented six units of commercial vehicles at the stand, including both tractors and complete trucks of the SITRAK and HOWO brands. The headliner of the exhibition was the new SITRAK C9H with a 4x2 wheel arrangement - the latest generation of the brand's truck tractors with a 7% reduction in fuel consumption. Also at the stand, options for complete trucks based on SITRAK C7H in various versions were demonstrated: a concrete mixer truck, a concrete pump truck, a refrigerated van, as well as a medium-tonnage refrigerator for urban and regional logistics based on HOWO T5G.
“Cordiant” holding has introduced a new line of regional truck tires, Cordiant Professional of the second generation. It includes three models: FR-2 for the steering axle, DR-2 for the drive axle, and TR-3 for the trailed axle. Serial production of new models is planned for the second half of 2025.
“ParadAvto-M” company has prepared a line of light commercial vehicles, which also includes a version of the Farizon SV electric van from Geely.
“SIV Transkholod,” the official distributor of Carrier, together with “Mosdesignmash,” presented a refrigerator featuring a refrigeration and heating unit from the new Carrier Citimax D5 series, which was launched on the market in March this year.
The debut in the exhibition was celebrated by the “Mkar” company, showing an ambulance car based on VW Crafter, a tourist bus (19 + 1) based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and Mercedes-Benz V-Klasse. Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, Minsk Automobile Plant has prepared a MAZ-54402L tractor of the anniversary series for a test drive and a campaign "10 tons of fuel as a gift" for the purchase.
“Remex Truck” presented the bestseller of the Russian heavy-duty truck market — the SITRAK C7H with a 4x2 configuration. Exhibition visitors had the chance to experience firsthand the features that made this model last year’s sales leader.
The all-wheel drive pickup Sollers ST8, featuring a bright design, became the leader in the number of races, with 115 times, allowing visitors to get acquainted with the Russian manufacturer's offer personally. According to the results of the awarding of the All-Russian annual competition "Leader of Mobile Trade" as part of the Trucks&Bus Forum business program at the exhibition, the model also received an award in the "Pickups" category.
By the end of the second day of the test drive, “Bolshegruz” company announced that it would hand over more than 10 Shacman X6000 tractors to “Refstyle” by the end of 2025.
Modern Transport Technologies Group of Companies brought three models for test drive: the Aurora all-wheel drive minibus, Valdai 18 cabover truck, and Valdai 45 long-haul tractor.
“Promtech” plant demonstrated two models of expanded-capacity vehicles: a Kapitan 4x4 Kub cargo-passenger SUV and an eight-seater LADA Granta car with an original Kub passenger body.
“XuGong Ru” introduced the XCMG XGA4185D5WA P9 4x2 truck tractor, which drew consistent attention, being tested more than ten times per day.
“ParaAvto-M” company demonstrated current developments for the Russian commercial vehicle market through two models of light vans, presented in new versions of increased comfort: Avior G10 and larger Avior V90.
On August 19, the test drive site hosted an exclusive driving competition for leading industry media representatives. Among the participants were "Za rulem", TECHNOmagazine, "Autobusiness News", magazines "Dvizhok", "Truck Press", "Autopark 5 Koleso", as well as bloggers Konstantin PRO, MotorProject, and many others. The competition evaluated both the time taken to complete the test drive exercises and the accuracy with which they were performed on vehicles in categories C (tractor MAZ-54402L) and B (LCV AVIOR V90). The victory was won by the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Autopark 5 Koleso," Mikhail Ozherelyev (category C), and the author of the magazine "Dvizhok," Vadim Askarov (category B).

The point of professional attraction for specialists was the Trucks&Bus Forum business site, which was visited by 791 delegates. Four days of open dialogue among business representatives, manufacturers, industry associations, and analytical and scientific centers were dedicated to addressing current questions in the commercial and passenger transport market.
Vladimir Matyagin, the president of the “Gruzavtotrans” association, offered to bring the industry under public control.
