A large-scale test drive of commercial vehicles ComAutoTrans and the Autotransport Forum were held in Moscow last week: the main results

From August 18 to August 21, the Crocus Expo IEC hosted a Big Test Drive of ComAutoTrans commercial vehicles. A dynamic business event with car rides and a rich business program brought together fleet owners, the public sector, logisticians and carriers.

An important distinctive feature of the Big Test Drive of Commercial Vehicles in Moscow was the approach to attracting traffic: the organizers took care of promoting exhibitors and registering visitors. In other exhibition venues with an organized test drive, these functions are shifted to the participants, which is why they are often limited to meetings with existing customers. In contrast, ComAutoTrans provided a natural influx of target audiences, allowing companies to focus on finding new customers without being distracted by self-marketing.

In four days, 408 races were made. The most popular model was the NEMO E350 electric car. The area of the equipped test drive area was 8,500 sq. m., thanks to which three cars could be used at the same time.

The main distinguishing characteristic of ComAutoTrans is the ability to personally evaluate the driving quality of the equipment. Models such as NEMO E350 and E820 electric trucks, SHACMAN X6000, SANY S571 TE4X2G, KAMAZ 54901-70011-AA, Foton Galaxy, SITRAK C7H MAX 4×2, Foton Auman remotorized, as well as a medium-duty truck JAC N120, a refrigerated van based on the FAW Trucks Tiger 6G chassis and a SITRAK C7H 8×4 dump truck were presented at the outdoor exposition.

Visitors drove along a specially prepared route, including a "snake", checking the suspension on speed bumps, maneuvering in a limited space and "garage" parking. On the first day, August 18, a closed press approach and a driving contest were held with the participation of bloggers and representatives of leading industry media. The winner in category C was Mikhail Gorbachev ("Drive-class"), in category B – Yuri Korshunov ("Technologies of intelligent construction").

As part of the exhibition, TRECOL Research and Production Company presented the updated TRECOL VEGA all-terrain vehicle. The machine with a 6×6-wheel arrangement is designed for operation in the most difficult off-road conditions.

AVIOR brand has announced the start of sales of a new chassis with a cab. The novelty, which was first shown in May at COMvex 2026, will enter the dealer network throughout Russia in the fall of 2026. According to the manufacturer, dealers are already accepting pre-orders.

Simultaneously with test drives, plenary discussions, round tables and sessions of the Road Transport Forum were held, where market experts, representatives of government agencies and business owners discussed the transition to intelligent supply chains, the fight against "illegal" transportation and the development of alternative fuels.

One of the most discussed topics was tax regulation. Speaking at the ComAutoTrans site, a representative of the Federal Tax Service of Russia gave important explanations for carriers. Fyodor Novikov, Head of the Electronic Document Management Department of the Federal Tax Service, focused on the fact that from September 1, a paper waybill will not entail additional tax charges if the fact of real transportation is confirmed, and taxes on the transaction are paid. The absence of an electronic document format cannot be a reason for excluding transportation costs when calculating income tax.

A significant event of the business program was the solemn ceremony of awarding the Mobile Trade Leader 2026 award in partnership with ComAutoTrans.

Among the speakers of the forum were Georgy Seleznev, Director of the Project Implementation Department of the Information Information Center of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Alexander Migal, Director of the Marketing Analysis Department of KAMAZ PTC, Fyodor Novikov, Head of the Federal Tax Service, Boris Privalov, General Director of the National Transport Association, Alexander Proskurin, General Director of Kargonomica JSC, Alexander Solntsev, Editor-in-Chief of the COMVEX Review magazine, and Sergey Maevsky Advisor to the General Director of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans, Director for Government Relations of the Delovye Linii Group of Companies Yuri Krasovsky and many others.

A large test drive of ComAutoTrans commercial vehicles was again held within the framework of the AutoCluster of industry exhibitions together with International Bus & Coach Exhibition AutoBusExpo and the International Exhibition of the Automotive Industry InterAutoMechanica.

This year, 27 603 visitors attended the events in person to meet with exhibitors and receive special offers from them. The project is being implemented by the team of Sigma Expo Group LLC, the organiser of the Leading Trade Fair for Commercial Vehicles and Technologies in Russia COMvex.
